Mohamed Shafee was Director General of MLSA since 2014 and now has been appointed as Director General of Geomatics Department since 2024. His current work as a Director General includes as follows:
Work to improve the development and capacity of the department employees and to facilitate the availability of necessary training and resources to the employees.
To improve the workflow of the department.
Monitoring the activities of the sections daily to implement the mandate of the department.
Oversee that the department responsible for the objectives and planned strategies of the deparmtent shall expedite all the works scheduled to be done by the units and maintain them in a result-oriented manner with the assistance of the Permanent Secretary.
Representation in the areas where the department is required to be represented.
